  • Remove body cover, bolsters and foam base before washing.
  • Remove outer cover from bed. Warm machine wash 40c. Do not bleach. Line dry. Do not iron. Do not dry clean.
  • For cushion foam spot clean only.
  • Leave side foam in covers. Place in washing machine on gentle cycle.

    Two beds are better than one

    This is our second ortho nestler. Our dog has an incontinence problem and while the bed is completely washable (I wash the ortho foam in cold soapy water in the bathtub), it takes several days to get everything dry, especially in winter. With two beds, I can just swap from one to the other. The original bed is not indoor/outdoor. I have not yet tried washing the indoor/outdoor but I expect the waterproof sides will mean that the bolster innards will not need washing as often. The removable mat is probably more convenient as well. The mat cover on the original is sewn in as part of the bed and makes for some complicated seams. The fabric on the original bed is prone to fraying. I had to have repairs done on two of the side seams including adding a patch but the original bed is now back in full operation.

    The dog seems happy in either bed although the indoor/outdoor fabric is a bit less cosey and she seems to slip off the edges a lot more. We add another cushion to the bed to accommodate her tendency to curl in the winter and sprawl in the summer.

    It took a couple of false starts to get the correct size for the new bed. Read the actual dimensions carefully. The large in the original is equivalent to the extra large in the current indoor/outdoor.

    Great bed, we previously had a larger version which was great for two years, but have found the smaller snooza nest to be just perfect even for our bigger dog who snuggles on in there every day. it’s also washes up extremely well and is super easy to put back together. best dog bed ever.

    We use these beds as "travel beds", if we are visiting relatives and staying overnight, also when travelling with our little A'van. They are cosy and comforting overnight, and great for relaxing outside during the day. These beds are also their regular night beds in our bedroom. They love the high sides and can snuggle in.
